Maple Lake Kimball schools Menu St. +Patrick's Day Festival Maple Lake will be the place to be March 13, with the communi- ty's 33rd Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival. The festivities March 13 begin with the annual craft sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Maple Lake Elementary gym. A selection of quality items will be offered by area crafters. The annual Irish Scamper will get underway at 9 a.m., with reg- istration at Maple Lake High School on Highway 55. The 5K run will begin at 11 a.m. on a course through the town. More infor- mation on the Scamper can be found at the Web site at <www. raceberryjam.com/scamper>. Additional activities this , year will include the first birthday of the Maple Lake Library, with treats and displays during the library's hours of 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Grande Day Parade is slated to begin at 1:30 p.m. near the city park. on Division Street. The parade will head west on Divi- sion, south on Maple, and east on First Street back to the city park. This. year's Grand Marshals are Maple Lake's veterans. The coronation of the new Miss Maple Lake will take place at 5 p.m. at the high school gym. with eight candidates competing for the title. During the day March 13;the Maple Lake Lions' Club will serve Mulligan Stew and other refresh- ments at the American Legion Club. In addition, other civic orga- nizations, restaurants and busi- nesses will be offering St. Patrick's Day specials. Tuesday: Turkey chow mein with noodles & rice or Italian tur- key sandwich, green beans, sliced wheat bread, watermelon, milk. Wednesday-St. Patrick's Day: Shepherd's pie or cheeseburger on wheat, Leprechaun salad, sliced wheat bread, four-leaf clover Jell- O, Mandarin oranges, milk. Thursday: Taco salad or turkey wrap, Mexican rice bake, whole kernel corn, sliced wheat bread, cantaloupe wedge, milk. Friday: Grilled cheese sand- wich or chicken Caesar salad, tomato soup, sliced wheat bread, fresh pineapple wedge, milk. sons 60+ and volunteers is $3.50, or what you can afford.
