He will finish out his current 4-year term, which ends Dec. 31, 2010. First elected in 1988, Sakry served on the Stearns County Board of Commissioners for 22 years. He serves in the Sec- ond District, representing the cit- ies of St. Joseph, Sartell and Waite Park and the townships ofLe Sauk, St. Joseph, St. Wendel and a por- tion of Collegeville. Sakry will continue to work as Director of the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Central Minnesota and the KID- STOP Program. "In these difficult economic times my work at the establishing and growing Stearns County Quarry Park & Nature Pre- serve• He also mentioned the Wild- wood/Kraemer Lake and Rock- ville County Parks as "jewels" for all future generations. Hagerty candidate for Wright County Sheriff Wright County Chief Dep- uty Joe Hagerty is announcing his candidacy for the Office of Wright County Sheriff• Hagerty is a life- long resident of Wright County and has been a member of the Sheriff's Office since 1985. Joe was hired as a deputy by Sheriff Darrell Wolff and began his career working in the jail, communications center and as a patrol and K9 officer. He was pro- moted to sergeant by Sheriff Don Hozempa in 1995 and has served under current Sheriff Gary Miller as a lieutenant before being promoted to Chief Deputy in 2006. Joe resides in the city of St, Michael with his family and has been involved in numerous community organizations, cur- rently serving his third term on the St. Michael City Council.
