This exercise records scores submitted via the coach's Team Management System. These scores are saved for future use for the entire team if a team's sched- uled Competition Week is can- celled in the event of inclement weather. Next week marks the first Competition Week. K/EV-W team hosts golf scramble invitational Golfers and coaches are ready for the meet to begin. Kimball Golf Club hosted a two-person scramble invitational last Thursday, April 14. By Pat Garry, StaffWriter Thursday, April 14, was a beautiful day at the Kimball golf course, and five schools partic- ipated in the K-EV-W boys/girls two-person Scramble Invitational. Participants included Foley, Big Lake, Osakis and Kimball-Eden Valley-Watkins for the boys. For the girls it was ROCORI, Melrose, Osakis and Kimball-Eden Valley- Watkins. The competition was broken down into individual pairs, and overall for the team, The boys' first-place hon- ors went to Team 3 from Foley, composed of Tyler Evenson and Preston Kopel, coming in with a score of 34, an impressive two-un- der par. The second and third place teams were tied with a score of 39, and had to go to a tie break on the highest handicapped hole. After the tie break, Big Lake's Team 2 (Austin Miller and Mason Riekel) took second, and K-EV-W Team 1 (Nathan Vossen and Hunter Flaschenriem) took third. Overall, team Foley took first with a cumu- lative score of 127; second went to Big Lake with 128, third to Osakis with 128, and fourth to K-EV-W with 131. Other results for K-EV-W include Tony DeIuliannie/Adam Sandquist with 44 (seventh over- all) and lack Bates/Branson Iensen with 48 (11th overall). The girls' side revealed first and third place going to Osakis Teams I and 3, respectively. Team 1, com- posed of Alayna Eldred and Kiara Hensley, finished with a score of 38, Team 3 (Lexi Dirkes and Marissa Reilly) shot a 44. Second place went to Melrose, Team 1 (Brooklyn Loxterchamp and Britt Seanger) with a score of 41. Overall team Osakis took first with a cumulative score of 128, Melrose was second with a 134, and ROCORI placed third with a 164. K-EV-W did not have a complete team and did not qualify for team results. There were seven Share the Fun and 20 PerformingArts acts. Share The Fun is a time for kids to share fun skits with their peers and adults while performing for an audience. The purposes of Share The Fun include: building club rapport and unity, promoting 4-H, and provid- ing recognition for the club. Many Meeker County 4-H'ers had a great opportunity to share their talents. The Meeker County 4-H ambassa- dors did a fabulous job emceeing the event.
