A motion to adopt the following resolution was made by Jane Pickle and seconded by Annette Liedman. RESOLUTION #. WHEREAS: The City Council of the City of Kimball desires to establish procedures to regulate the cutting of wood on City property in order to preserve the City's woodlands and to protect the vublic health and safety; NO'V, THEREFORE, BE IT LVED THAT the attached Ordinance Regulating Cutting of Wood on City Property is hereby adopted. The. following Council members voted in favor: Annette Liedman, Jane Pickle, Mariella Arnold, Dan Konz and Don Zwilllng. The following Comcil members voted against or abstained: None. The City Council of the City of Kimball ordains: Section 1: No person shall cut or trim any living or dead tree or wood on any property owned or eccupied by the City of Kimball, except as herein provided. Section 2: Employees, c0ntractors, or licem, the City of Kimball may cut or trim living or dead tress or woed on City property in tbe norma!com'se of their duties but shall not cut or trim any .ring . dead trees or wood on City property on their own time nor for private nse  gain. Section3: The City Council may assign employees, hire contractors, or grant writton licenses to cut or trim trees or wood on such terms and conditions as may be deemed appropriate by the Council. RlSOLUllON #__ WHEREAS: The City Council has determined that certain amendments to the Kimball Zoning Ordinance are necessary to protect the public health, safety and welfare, and to further the purpose of the Kimball Comprehensive Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, be .it resolved that: The City Council of the City of Kimball hereby adopts the attached ordinance amending the Kimball Zoning Ordinance. The estimated total cost of the improvement is $636,000.00. The area proposed to be assessed for the improvements is all parcels of land abutting proposed or existing municipal watermains.
