The final score was 6-2. Maple Lake scored first with two runs in the second inning off of two Kimball errors, but Kimball answered back in the fourth inning, scoring four runs of their own; two of the runs being earned and two of the runs coming due to Maple Lake errors. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Lauren Libbesmeier put the Cubs up by four runs, as she blasted a two-run home run over the left field fence. This was Libbesmeier's first home run of the season. Emily Utecht did a great job pitching for the Cubs, allowing just three hits.
