Kimball school music concerts Mmab 10, 11 Elementary Spring Concert The Kimball Elementary School will present its Spring Can- cert at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 10. The concert entitled "Sing Amer- ica Sing" will include songs from many states. Grades K-6 and the Elementary Choir will perform. The program will be held outside behind the Elementary School. If it rains, we will bring the concert inside to the gym. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and come early to enjoy some talented Kimball piano players who will start at 1:15. The program is under the direction of Arlene Sands, Kimball Area Vocal Music Specialist. Kimball Area High School Choir Concert KimballArea High School Choir will present its spring concert at" 7:30 p,m. Tuesday, May 11. A vocal prelude with very talented soloists from Kimball will begin at 7 p.m. The choir will perform its State Superior Award selection "Glo- ria in Excelsis Deo," sung in Latin. Other numbers include medleys from "Mama Mia," and "Foot- loose." The senior choir will be traveling to the Chalahassen Din- ner Theater Wednesday to see the musical"Footloose." The Elementary Choir will also per- form in this concert by sinsin8 "The Rainbow Connection," "Together," from the "High School Musical" play, plus other fun selections. The public is cordially invited to attend this concert under the direc- tion of Arlene Sands, Kimball Area Vocal Music Specialist. It will be in the cafetorium in the hish school. Buffalo Hospital offers Pediatric Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid Buffalo Hospital is offering a Pediatric Heartsaver CPR, AED and First Aid course from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday May 15, Designed to meet the require- ments for childcare providers, this course includes information and practice skills required when responding to emergency situations involving first aid for children. Par- ticipants will learn skills required for child and infant CPR, relieving airway obstructions and the pediatric chain of survival. Automatic external defi- brillator (AED) use on children also will be covered. Upon completion of the course, participants receive two- year certification from the American Heart Assoclation. The class is $65 and meets at the Buffalo Hospital Administra- tion & Conference Ccmter, 303 Cat- lin St., Buffalo. Kimball Kruisers 4-H Club helped to celebrate Arbor Day by passing out a tree to all the students at Kimball Elementary School. The trees were oak trees, so look for some beautiful trees being grown in the coming year. Achievers at Holy Cross School Congratulations go out to Sam Howard and Danielle Terwey-Lyrek. They were the first in the third grade to meet their third trimester A.R.
