EV-W Drama Club presented 'Leaving Iowa' Anyone who has ever taken a family road trip as a vacation - especially in the days before GPS and other electronic gadgets - could instantly relate to "Leaving Iowa,  the play performed by the Eden Valley-Watkins Drama Club. The core of the cast, a family of four, are seen in vignettes of time, on a number of family road trips. They meet a number of interesting characters along the way. The fast-moving comedy easily drew in their audiences, and took them for a pleasant ride. After the perfor- mince, audience members had a chance to greet cast members (see photo at right}. Fresh from the Minnesota FFA Convention last week, the Eden Valley-Watkins FFA held their annual banquet Sunday, May 5, in the new Eden Valley Event Center (and Library). The 2012-2013 Chapter offi- cer team consists of Anne Gathje, president; Dillon Blonigen, vice president; James Gathje, secre- tary; Erica McCann, treasurer; Bobby Kipf, reporter; and Lyle Miller, sentinel. Awards were given to many of the FFA members including: Best Informed Greenhand- Arnie Gruenes, Calvin Kipf, Laura Kipf, Jodi Phillipp, and Bobby Kipf. Dairy Evaluation-Arnie Gru- enes and Joel Schmitz. Dairy Handler-Doug Fisher. General Livestock Evalua- tion-Maria Holdvogt, Bobby Kipf, James Gathje, and Taylor Maas.
