Girls' 8oilers finish fourth, advance one to state Girls' K-EV-W golf team: Chelsea Maus, Paiten Schreiner, coach Judd Bonham, Kelly Mackereth, and Erin Dingmann. Submitted photo. Congratulations to the K-EV-W girls' golf team. Out of a field of 15 teams in section 5-2A, the Kimball team, consisting of Erin Dingmann, Paiten Schreiner, Kelly Mackereth, and Chelsey Maus finished in fourth place. Only four teams moved on to the second day of competi- tion at the Crow River Country Club in Hutchinson, with K-EV-W finding themselves trailing Becker by six strokes, and tied for second place with Hutchinson after the first day. This was a tremendbus accomplishment and a great expe- rience for the girls. Though they fell short in their effort to go to state as a team, they are to be con- gratulated on their magnificent showing in the Section 5-2A golf tournament Congratulations to Erin Ding, mann. Erin qualified for the Class 2A State Girls' Golf Tournament with a third-place finish at the two-day Section 5-2A tournament at the Crow River Country Club in Hutchinson last week. She put together rounds of 81-83 for a score of 174. One team and five individu- als move on to state from each sec- tion. The State Class 2A golf tour- nament will be held June 16 and 17 at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan. Good luck at state, Erin.
