The loca- tion is about two miles northwest of Opole. Holdingford rescue arrived on scene to care for the people involved in the crash. Deputies determined there was only one occupant in the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was identi- fied as Tyler Jerome Kapus, 26 of Little Falls, and was driving a 2011 Chevy Silverado. The investiga- tion revealed that Tyler was driv- ing northbound on County Road 3 and was driving too far to the right and hit a mailbox. He lost control of the truck and went into the ditch. The truck roiled several times. Tyler was wearing his seat- belt at the time. He was evaluated by Gold Cross Ambulance and had only minor cuts and bruises. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash and it is still under investigation. ATV accident with injuries lune 11 Saturday, June 11, at noon, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident with injuries involving a side by side ATV on private property near County Road 71 and Red Cedar Road within Wakefield Twp., about three miles south of Richmond. There were three other 15-year old girls on the ATV at the time, Alexis Lang of Richmond, Faith Groover Nelson of Watkins, and Kathleen Hetland of Cold Spring. Deputies spoke with the other occupants of the ATV and were told that they were driving in an open field and that the ATV tipped on its side. Tamble was trapped underneath the ATV. The passengers were able to lift the ATV off Tamble prior to emer- gency responders' arrival. Tamble was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital and two other girls were treated for minor injuries at the scene. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office is investigating the inci- dent. She proceeded eastward on Highway 55. The Wright County Sheriff's Office and Annandale Police Department located her and tried to stop her, but she didn't stop for them in Annandale; she continued east- ward on Highway 55, with the police and sheriff pursuing her until they approached Maple Lake. Just west of Maple Lake, on Highway 55 at Wright County Road 7, she caused a crash with four other cars that closed Highway 55 in both directions for some time Tuesday evening. Belka was seriously injured and air-lifted to the hospital with seri- ous injuries. Steven Voigt, 55 of St. Cloud was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion. He sus- tained non-life-threatening inju- ries. Mark Rieger Borer, 20 of Annandale, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries. ]ulie Meyer, 40 of Maple Lake, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Classic. Her condition was not documented. Wayne Paler, 39 of Annandale, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. He also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. News photos of the crash site show one of the cars literally sliced in half. The State Patrol record is not yet complete; the only change since June 7 was the addition of driver names involved in the crash. Weather was not a factor. Paynesville man sentenced for falsely reporting crime Darrell Leonard Webb, 56 of Paynesville, will serve one year of supervised probation, and is required to write a letter of apol- ogy to the EV-W school district. He also was handed a 30-day jail sen- tence, stayed for a year, to be dis- missed upon successful comple- tion of probation. Monday, Feb. 29, just before 9:30 a.m., according to the charges, Webb came to the doors of the EV-W School district office claim- ing a man with a gun was try- ing to kill him. The school district went into lockdown, which is typ- ical protocol, and Meeker County Sheriff Brian Cruze, Deputy Dan Miller and several other Meeker County deputies and investigators arrived at the school. Webb had been in daily contact with the Meeker County Sheriff's Office for the prior few weeks~ Webb's ex-wife had told them Webb was "acting very strange." She told EV Police Chief Ernie Junker there was no man with a gun trying to kill Webb. She confirmed to Junker that she had been walking with Webb earlier that morning, before he began walking away from her toward the school. "Here we go again," she had told herself, and she kept walking. Webb was taken that day to a hospital for evaluation, and the school was then taken off lockdown. According to the sentenc- ing order, per probation require- ments, Webb must follow all the recommendations given in that mental health evaluation. Large or small... We see them a/l! YOU ARE FAMILY!
