We will be stopping at Richard and Dory Ecker's tillage and manure demonstration established the Fall of 1989 involving various hog and dairy manure treatments. Research is being conducted this year to determine nitrogen and phosphorus movement through the soil profile under various treatments to help evaluate nutrients available for crop production and to assess tinage effects. Along with these demonstrations, Ecker's are evaluating animal waste control and management alternatives for their farm operation. Also a stop at Dennis Rausch's farm is scheduled.
