Rox play- ers will be on hand to read stories, answer questions, sign autographs and interact with children. The Rox play in the Northwoods League, with teams made up of star college players. Some of them are major league stars of tomorrow. Each year, Northwoods League teams are watched by scouts and have players drafted. Le00als 4 Government Thursday, August 1, 2013 Tri-County News www.tricounnews.mn Local crime blotters Boat accident at Lake Koronis July 23 Tuesday, July 23, at 10:16 a.m. the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Paynesville Police Department and Paynesville Ambulance Service were dispatched to a watercraft Crash with injuries on Lake Koronis in Paynesville Township. A 1966 Arkan Runabout, being operated by Donald Manion, age 66 of Coon Rapids, was pulling a water skier west on Lake Koronis. During operation, the Arkan collided with a kayak that had two juvenile males on board. One of the juveniles, a 5-year old boy from Edina, received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Paynesville Area Hospital by ambulance. This case is still under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff's Office. Chatham Township fatality Tuesday, ]uly 23, at 5:34 p.m., the Wright County Sheriff's Office was notified of a three-vehicle col- lision at County Road 35 West and Dempsey Av NW in Chatham Town- ship. Initial investigation indicates that a 2001 Ford Taurus being driven by Emma Rodelius, 16, of Maple Lake, was northbound on Dempsey Av NW when it pulled out in front of and collided with a 2003 Kenworth dump truck being driven by Scott Quady, 56, of Sandstone. The dump truck was eastbound on County Road 35 West. After the ini- tial impact, the Taurus then col- lided with a 1992 Mazda B2200 which was westbound on County Road 35 West. The Mazda was being driven by Kenneth Hartneck, 49, of Howard Lake. Rodelius was pronounced dead at the scene. Hartneck was trans- ported by Allina ambulance to Allina hospital in Buffalo. Quady did not report any injuries. The Buffalo Fire Department assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol. Wright County Sheriff's Office July 22, Nicholas Leslie Lorent- son, 30 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on an apprehension and detention order from Stearns County. July 25, Victoria Ann Alama, 24 of Annandale, was charged with mis- demeanor assault. July 28, Mary Margaret Wiener, 46 of Annandale, was arrested in Annandale on the charge of second- degree DWI. July 28, Iulio Steven Perez, 30 of Annandale, was arrested in Annan- dale on the charge of third-degree DWI. July 28, Carrie Lynn Garthe, 35 of Annandale, was arrested in Annan- dale on the charges of disorderly conduct and fifth-degree assault. There were 16 property-damage accidents, 8 personal-injury acci- dents, 2 hit-and-run accidents, and 4 car-deer accidents. There were 9 arrests for DWI, 3 underage-consumption arrests, and 43 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reported this week. Meeker County Sheriff's Office Sunday. Iuly 28. 2013 12:48 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Das- sel Rescue and Gold Cross Ambu- lance to a medical at a residence on 318th Street, Kingston Township. The Meeker County Medical Exam- iner was also called to the scene and a report will be filed. 10:24 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a personal injury accident in the area of 380th Street and 677th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. Watkins Ambulance, Watkins Fire Department and Wat- kins Rescue were dispatched to the scene. April Smith, 21, of Litchfield, was transported by private vehicle to Meeker Memorial Hospital. Saturday. luly 27 11:21 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched the Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Drumflower Road, Eden Lake Township in Stearns County. One individual was trans- ported to the Paynesville Hospital. 5:49 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a juvenile runaway from a residence on 312th Street, Kings- ton Township. The juvenile was located later in Wright County. 6:54 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted the St Cloud Police Depart- ment with making contact with an individual at a residence on 617th Avenue, Manannah Township. 7:23 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted an individual at a residence on Central Avenue South, Watkins, with locating a missing item. Friday, luly 26 12:17 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of an assault at a res- idence on 325th Street, Kingston Township. 10:51 a.m. the Sheriff's Office received a 9-1-1 hang up call from a residence on Brooks Street South, Eden Valley. The deputy found everything was okay at the resi- dence; children had been playing with the phone. 1:08 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Gold Cross Ambulance and Dassel Rescue to a medical at a res- idence on MN Highway 15, Kings- ton Township. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospi- tal. 11:13 p.m, the Sheriff's Office dispatched Eden Valley Fire Depart- ment for a tree on a power line on Browns Lake Road, Stearns County. Thursday, |uly 25 12:10 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dispatched Watkins Ambulance and the Eden Valley Rescue Squad to a medical at Todd's Place on State Street North, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. 12:22 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted with a civil issue at a resi- dence on Brook Street South, Eden Valley. The individual was advised of their options. 2:09 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on 385th Street, Manan- nah Township. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospi- tal. Wednesday. Iuly 24 3:53 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Western Avenue South, Watkins. Gold Cross Ambulance was also dispatched to the scene and transported one indi- vidual to the St. Cloud Hospital. 7:47 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of found prop- erty on MN Highway 55, Watkins. The item was placed into evidence. 2:23 p.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted an individual at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Wat- kins, with some questions on a theft that was reported a year ago. 3:12 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of horses on the roadway near a residence on 365th Street, Forest Prairie Town- ship. The horses were back in the fence prior to the arrival of the dep- uty. 11:04 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and took a report of an unwanted individual at a residence on County State Aid Highway 27, Kingston. Tuesday, Iuly 23 11:10 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of mailbox damage at a residence on 380th Street, Forest Prairie Township. 11:19 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of theft by check from Mies Outland, MN Highway 55, Watkins. 1:02 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a civil issue at Host Stainless Services, MN Highway 55, Forest Prairie Township. The dep- uty advised the individual of their options. Monday. luly 22 3:58 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a barking dog complaint near a residence on 567th Avenue, Manannah Town- ship. The deputy spoke to the own- ers and issued a warning. 11:20 p.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of a custody issue at a residence on MN Highway 55, Forest Prairie Township.
