Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, Minn. Relatives and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, and from 9-10:15 a.m Thursday morn- ing. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Knights of Columbus. Burial will be in the St. Catherine's Cem- etery in Farming. Kenneth T. Brinkman was born Aug. 10, 1944, in Richmond, to John and Veronica (Gertken) Brink- man. He married Mary Jane Klehr June 22, 1974, in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Richmond. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard Church 40bit. enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with fam- ily. He was a member of the Farming Sportsmen's Club, Farming Lions, American Legion Post 292, Knights of Columbus, and St. Martin Parish. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents John and Veron- ica Brinkman; brothers-in-law Ambrose Molitor, Hoppy Cassady, Delbert and Marvin Klehr. He is survived by his wife Mary; children and their families Jason (and Rebecca), Sarah and Cooper; Jesse (and Robyn), Taylor, Brit- tany, and Kendra; Jill (and Pete) Thelen, Kylie, Ava, and Shelby; Jay (and Katie), Eli, Reece, and Vio- let; brothers and sisters Ralph (and Sharon), Alvina (and Tony) Mies, Fran (and Bud) Winters, Lorraine (and Don) Jungles, Cora (and Lyle) Daugherty, Werner (and Donna), Cindy (Gohman) Croat, 51 Cindy Croat of South Haven around. She is survived by daughters Nichole Gohman, and Jessica Croat; sisters Janet Gohman and Penny Ruehle; brother Michael Gohman; and her companion Alfred Schindele. The family wishes to thank her relatives, friends, co-workers and the medical staff at St. Cloud and Mayo, who helped with her care and support during her battle with leukemia. The outpouring of sup- port from everyone in the South Haven area during her battle with leukemia was tremendous. She was lucky to live in such a great place. died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at the Mayo Clinic from complications of leukemia. She was 51. A gathering and time of shar- ing was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball. Cindy Ann Croat was born in Loring, Maine, Oct. 5, 1961, to the late James and Kayoko (Eto) Gohman. She graduated from St. Cloud Apollo High School in 1980. She earned a degree in nursing and worked as an oncology RN at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was a tim- loving caring person, a joy to be Melvin (and Gayle), David (and Janet), Diane (and Dennis) Hey- ing, Judy Klehr, Doris (and Michael) Grady, and Sandy (and Marc) Booth. Jeremy Ecker, 37 Jeremy Ecker of Maple Grove died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013. He was 37. Funeral services were held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove Friday, Aug. 9. Inter- ment was at Rush Creek Cemetery. Jeremy was a 1994 graduate of Osseo Senior High School and went on to graduate from the Uni- versity of Minnesota, and then the William Mitchel School of Law where he graduated with honors in 2006. He enjoyed working as a computer engineer for Dell Com- puter. Jeremy lived for his gifts and was an amazing father, hus- band, son and friend. He touched so many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Dawn Rokala, 49 Dawn Rokala of Kimball died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 49. Visitation was at 1 p.m. with funeral services held at 2 p.m. Fri- day, Aug. 9, at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale, with Rev. Peter J. Martinson offici- ating. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in French Lake Township, Wright County. Dawn Carol Rokala was born March 23, 1964, in Litchfield to Loren and Geraldine (Johnson) Horsma. She married Terrence R. Rokala July 11, 1980, and for the past two years they have lived in Kimball. She enjoyed gardening, camping, fish- ing, and dogs; also volunteering at theWright County Humane Society. Dawn is preceded in death by her father Loren Horsma. She is survived by her husband Terry of Kimball, children Elizabeth (and Jason) Ranta of Villard, Joshua Rokala of Kimball, Jason Rokala of Clearwater; grandchildren Aliya, Malory, Daniel, Henry, and Lau- ren; mother Geri Horsma of Dassel; brother Jay (and Kayleen) Horsma of Menahga; and sister Jan (and Tom) Heinonen of Cokato. Thursday, August 15, 2013 Tri-County News Adella Theis, 91 Adella Theis of Eden Valley died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Paynes- ville Area Hospital in Paynesville. She was 91. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley with Rev. Jerome Nadu- vathaniyil, OSB officiating. Visita- tion was from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley, and after 9:30 a.m. Monday, also atthe funeral home. Eden Valley Senior Citizens prayed at 4:30 p.m., followed by Eden Valley American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary at 6 p.m., Assumption Christian Women at 6:30 p.m., and parish prayers at 7 p.m., Sunday all at the funeral home. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Adella M. Theis was born Jan. 16, 1922, in Richmond to Joseph and Rose (Fischbach) Ressemann. She married Joseph Theis Nov. 7, 1945, at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley. Adella was a home- maker and lived in EdenValley since her marriage. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, Assumption Christian Mothers, St. Joseph and St. Mary's Catholic Aid Council, Eden Valley American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary, and Eden Valley Senior Citizens. Adella loved baseball, the Minnesota Twins, and collected admissions at Eden Val- ley Hawks games. She enjoyed can- ning, gardening, embroidery, quilt- ing, and visiting with others. Adella volunteered in the community, she was always willing to help others. Adella was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph Feb. 3, 1992; son Allen; sisters Ber- netta, Dorothy, Ida, and Irene. She is survived by her sons Rob- ert (and Robin) of Cortland, N.Y., Jerome (and layne) of Peoria, Ariz., and Eugene of Cedar Falls, Iowa; brothers Ralph (and Sally) Resse- mann of Richmond, and Roman Ressemann of Richmond; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grand- children. Daniel Wicker, 84 Daniel Wicker of Pearl Lake (Marty) died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at the VA Nursing Home. He was 84. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at Holy Cross Church in Martywith Father Mark Ostendorf officiating. Visi- tation was from 4-8 p.m. at Holy Cross Church Thursday, Aug. 8, with parish prayers at 4 p.m. fol- lowed by a rosary with the Knights of Columbus. Visitation continued from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday morning at the church. Burial was in the parish cemetery following the ser- vice. Daniel I. Wicker was born Nov. 24, 1928, to John and Hattie (Dullinger) Wicker on the family farm where his dad was also born. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1946. He farmed with his family until he was drafted into the service. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. When he returned home, Dan- iel resumed farming. Daniel mar- ried Rita Reller June 2, 1958, and together they raised six children. After retiring from farming, Dan- iel became a "parts runner" for his son, John. Daniel enjoyed tak- ing care of his orchard and going out for coffee. He also enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips. He was especially proud of his children, grandchildren and great-grand- children. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; brother Eldred; sis- ter Patricia; and brother-in-law A1 Voit. He is survived by his wife Rita; children Thomas (and Kristine) of Crosby, Sharon (and Dave) Scheeler of Merrifield, Jeanne (and Tom) Pramann of Castlewood, S.D., Judy (and Charlie) Mueller of Marty, Brenda (and Jeff) Rein- hardt of Mahtomedi, John (and Mary) of Marty; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sib- lings Roger Wicker, Arlene Dock- endorf of St. Cloud, Doris Goenner of Clear Lake, and sister-in-law Doris Wicker. Following cremation, his burial was in Veterans Cemetery in Laural, Mont., with military honor guard Wednesday, July 17. Allen E. Wurzburger was born Aug. 16, 1944, to Ida and Pearl Wurzburger in the Kimball area. He graduated from Kimball High School in 1963. He then served in from 1963 to 1966, serving as a mis- sile and launcher electronic tech repairman for the Hawk Missile in Okinawa and Tokashiki, Japan. He married Carol O. Theisen in 1987. He is survived by his children of a previous marriage: Marlo Wurz- burger of Sartell, Rita Rohde of Buf- falo, Molly Krueger of South Haven, Sam Wurzburger of St. Cloud, and Walter Wurzburger of Buffalo.
