f Pa00e 28 Community" Kimball Fire Department rolls out new rescue truck By Pat Garry, staff writer The Kimball Fire Department is anxiously awaiting the arrival of its new rescue truck, which is scheduled for delivery July 29. Completely outfitted with all of the necessary medical equip- ment, the 2013 1-ton Dodge truck was purchased from AM Maus and Son of Kimball, and it fea- tures a mounted Wheeled-Coach Box. The funds for this truck are derived from gambling dollars and donations which total $84,000. The remaining $10,000 will come from the City of Kimball, Maine Prairie Township, Kingston Town- ship and Fairhaven Township, for a total cost of $94,000. This truck will go on an average of 130 calls a year, as it responds to almost all the calls received by the depart- ment. Fire Chief John Gohmann is excited and very appreciative of the citizens' generosity.
