Free swim Friday The Farmers State Bank of Watkins is sponsoring a free swim at the Watkins Community Pool from 1-7 p.m. this Friday6 Aug. 23. EV Tones welcome to swim, for free. A teen swim event, complete with DJ, food, and door prizes, starts at 7; cost is $5. St. Anthony Parish Fest Come out to McCarthy Park all day Sunday, Aug. 25, for the annual St. Anthony parish festival: Picnic in the Park. The day starts with a Polka Mass at 10 a.m. Of course there will be food, beer, pie & ice cream; games, beanbag tournament, a $2,000 raffle; music from 2-5 p.m. School starts in 12 days Area schools will start Tuesday, Sept. 3- that's just 19 days from today. Kimball open houses are 4- 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27. EV-W open houses are 6- 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. Holy Cross open house is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27.
