Please have materials for next week's Tri-County News to our office by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3. School open houses ICES open house was Tues- day, Aug. 31. KAHS open house is 4-7 pm. Wednesday, Septi 1. Holy Cross open house is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2. (See notice on page 5.) Pancakes Saturday A pancake, French toast, eggs and sausage breakfast will be served at Zion UMC in South Haven from 8:30- 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4. (See ad on page 3.) School starts 7 Tuesday; Sept. 7, is the day of school for area public and days left of summer vacat/om make them count! Also, please be aware of school buses and additional traffic near schools in the mornings and afternoons, and lots of children out walking to school or waiting for buses. We all want this school year to be a safe one! Sports schedules Fall school sports teams have been in practice for weeks now. Soon they will begin their conference seasons. See the sports schedule on page 7 for upcoming games. Go Cubs! Head football coach ]amie Leither has a brief outlook of this year's team and season; it's on page 13. Watch for more football, as well as volleyball and cross- country, in the Tri-County News each week. Parish festivals The St. Ignatius parish festival in Annandale is Saturday, Sept. 11.
