Kimball voileyballers sweep Ogilvie in season opener By Pat Garry, staff writer The Kimball volleyball team journeyed to Ogilvie and brought the heat with them Tuesday night, Aug. 27, scorching the Lions in a 3-set sweep. The scores of the match were 25-12, 25-3 and 25-16, as the Cubs tamed the Lions, who represent the Great River Con- ference. Kimball first-year coach Scott Heinen is pleased with the opening day effort. "Ogilvie was a very hospitable opponent on an extremely hot day. We would like to take a moment to thank them." Heinen continues, "The match was fun and we were fortunate to win all three games. It was great that all of our players were able to play. The coaches of the past at Kimball make our job very easy." The Cubs came out with a lot of energy and they stayed sharp throughout the match. Teamwork was key in the decisive victory, and it was clear that the girls have made the best out of practice time.
