School Board 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15, in the board Board meetings always are open to the public, and may attend. An informational meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, to discuss the upcoming levy vote Nov. 2. Parish festival St. Anne's parish festival in Kimball is Sunday, Sept. 19. The day starts at 9 a.m. with a Polka Mass with Stan's Country Dutchmen. Breakfast is served from 9-noon; the hamburger and beer stand is open by 10. There will be games, inflatables, bingo, wagon rides, quilt raffle, and silent auction. The big raffle drawing is at 3 p.m. Bring the whole family for a last taste of summer.. Demo Derby The Meeker Demolition Derby is at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, in Litchfield. (See their ad on page 7 for details.) HOMECOMING! Next week is Homecoming Week in Kimball. (See on page 13 for the week's activities.) The week begins at 7 p.m. Sunda3 Sept. 19, with Homecoming Coronation. A community snake dance (starting at the high school after the coronation) will wind its way to the Kimball Fire Hall for a bonfire. (Transportation will be available back to the school for those who need it.) The week is full of special activities for students. The volleyball game is at 6 p.m. Thursday. Football game at 7 p.m. Friday. The Homecoming Dance follows Friday's game. This year we play Maple Lake for Homecoming. Fall is near Apples are ripe for the picking. Can pumpkins be far behind?
