Preference will be given to individuals that are available for daytime hours (6 a.m.-6 p.m.) Volunteerfirefighters are compensated for training, duties, standlng watch and special events. The purpose of this position is to minimize loss of life and property in the City or Kimball, Fairhavcn Township, Kin~ton TOwn~hip and Maine Prairie Township from fires, natural disasters, life-threatening situations and to assist other emergency agencies. The Kimball Fire & Rescue Department also provides public fire safety education. This position is responsible for responding to fire calls, extinguishing and controlling fres as a member of a team under the supervision of a fire officer, responding to medical emergency calls and performing rescue and first aid as needed.
