Pa00e 14 Local crime blotters Fire in Clearwater home Wednesday, Sept. 18, Stearns County Sheriffs Office received a 911 call in reference to a house fully engulfed in flames at 232 Englewood Road, Lynden Township, in Clearwa- ter. No one was home at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries. The home is owned by Robert and Janet Moeller. Fire departments from Clear- water, Clear Lake, and St. Augusta extinguished the fire. The Clearwater Fire Department will investigate the cause of the fire, which may have been a wood-burn- ing appliance. Car-horse accident Sept. 20 Friday, Sept. 20, at 5:25 a.m. the Meeker County Sheriffs Office dis- patched the Eden Valley Fire Depart- ment, Eden Valley Rescue, Watkins Ambulance, and responded to a two- vehicle personal injury accident on CSAH 34, just south of 365th Street. Upon the deputy's arrival, it was found that 51-year old James Doll Of rural Watkins, was driving north on CSAH 34, with his wife, Linda Doll, 54 years old, and their 16-year old son, in a blue 2005 Dodge Mini Van when he struck a horse that had run up onto the road near the intersection of 365th Street. The horse was thrown into the front end of a parked 2013 blue Chevy Avalanche occupied by 54-year old Sonja Harms of Litchfield. Linda Doll was taken to Meeker Memorial Hos- pital byWatkinsAmbulance for treat- ment of non-life-threatening injuries The Doll's vehicle was totaled from the accident and Sonja Harms' vehi- cle had light damage to its front end. Deputies found that there were sev- eral horses loose at the time of the -accident. Mr. Kelly removed the dead horse from the roadway and was rounding up the rest of the loose horses. This incident is still under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriffs Office. Wright County Sheriff's Office "Sept. 16, Dale John LaFave 44 of Maple Lake, was charged with fel- ony possession of a weapon/explo- sive device. Sept. 16, Malisa Marie Loeschke, 25 of Maple Lake, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Sept. 18, Brandon Edward Barthel, 21 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Maple Lake on the charges of domestic assault and fifth-degree assault. Sept. 18, Andrew Graham Scott, 21 of Annandale, was arrested in Stearns County on Wright County warrants for third-degree burglary, 5th degree criminal sexual conduct and issuance of worthless check. Sept. 18, Kristina Ann Leon, 43 of Litchfield, was arrested in Corinna Township on the charge of theft. Sept. 19, Thomas Allen Levitt, 29 of Clearwater, was arrested in Clear- water on the charge of violation of a domestic abuse no-contact order. Sept. 20, Todd Alan Roy, 45 of Annandale, was arrested in Annan- dale on the charge of third-degree DWI. Sept. 22, Michael James Stein- hofer, 32 of Clearwater, was arrested in Clearwater Township on the charges of domestic assault by stran- gulation and domestic assault. There were 21 property-damage accidents, 4 personal-injury acci- dents, 1 hit-and-run accidents, and 8 car-deer accidents. There were 6 arrests for DWI, 2 underage-consumption arrests, and 37 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reported this week. Meeker County Sheriff's Office Sunday. Sept. 22 2:04 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Eden Valley Rescue squad for a medical at a residence on Mead- owlark Lane, City of Eden Valley. One individual was assisted at the residence. Saturday. Sept. 21 4:13 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of suspicious activity near a residence on Western Avenue South, City of Watkins. The deputy checked the area and found that the individuals had left prior to his arrival. 3:16 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Eden Valley Rescue and Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Raymond Avenue, Eden Lake Township, Stearns County. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. 5:05 p.m. the Sheriffs Office received a call in regards to a vehi- cle in the ditch on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township. There were no injuries reported and the caller was transferred to the MN State Patrol. 5:39 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a dog complaint at a residence on Central Avenue South, Watkins. The deputy transported two dogs to the dog pound and the owner later picked them up. Friday. Sept. 20 5:19 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of horses on the road on CSAH 34 and 365th Street, Forest Prairie Township. 6:52 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a horse loose near the intersection of County State Aid Highway 11 and 655th Avenue, Darwin Township. The owner was able to locate the horse and return it to its pen. 6:53 a.m. the Sheriffs Office dispatched Eden Valley Fire Depart- ment to a transformer fire near a res- idence on 228th Avenue, Eden Lake Township, Stearns County. 11:00 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a scam attempt at a res- idence on MN Highway 24, North Kingston Township. 11:54 a.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of theft from King Crow Com- pany, County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston. 12:30 p.m. the Sheriffs Office arrested Lance Leland Provencher, age 67, of rural Litch field, on a Meeker County Apprehension and Detention Order while at the Meeker County Probation Office, North Sibley Ave- nue, Litchfield. 2:04 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of a possible vulnerable adult situation at a residence on Church Street, Watkins. 8:35 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to assist the Eden Val- ley Police Department with a traffic stop in the area of MN Highway 55, Manannah Township. 9:23 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of unsafe con- ditions in the area of MN Highway 55 and County State Aid Highway 2, City of Watkins. The deputy made contact with the walking individual who was okay and already had arranged for a ride. 9:31 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a westbound driving complaint in the area of MN Highway 55 and County State Aid Highway 17, Forest Prairie Township. The deputy checked the area and found that the vehicle had left prior to arrival. Thursday. Sept. 19 2:24 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at the Hilltop Health Care Center on Luella Street in Watkins. A deputy found everything.to be fine. 8:50 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to an alarm at the Millner Heritage Winery on MN Highway 15, Kingston Township. 9:21 a.m. the Sheriffs Office received notification that Meeker County was placed in a severe thun- derstorm warning by the National Weather Service. No spotters were needed. 10:57 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a dog com- plaint at Kingston Auto on US High- way 12, Dassel Township. Prior to the deputies arrival the dog was picked up by its owner who was warned for having an animal at large. 8:06 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of a burglary at a residence on County State Aid Highway 19, Kingston. 8:24 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to and dispatched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on central Avenue South, Watkins. No transport was needed. 10:43 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of harassment at St. Anthony Manor on Church Street, Watkins. Wednesday. Sept. 18 7:19 a.m. the Sheriffs Office received a report of a cow in the road on 735th Avenue, Kingston Township. The owner of the cow was contacted and he was able to get the cow back in the fenced area. 1:27 p.m. the Sheriffs Office received a report of child maltreat- ment at a residence on Maple Street South, Eden Valley. The information was forwarded on to the Eden Valley Police Department for follow up. 6:02 p.m. the Sheriffs Office assisted the Stearns County Sheriffs Office, with locating a person at a res- idence on 574th Avenue, Manannah Township.
