The deputy spoke to the individual and there was no violation. Tuesday. Sept. 17 9:07 a.m. the Sheriff's Office received a report of child maltreat- ment at a residence on 320th Street, Kingston Township. The information was referred to Meeker County Social Services. 1:38 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on Meeker Ave- nue North, Watkins. Everything was found to be okay. 2:51 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a request to unlock a vehicle at a residence on 707th Ave- nue, North Kingston Township. 5:18 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a property damage accident near a residence on Central Avenue North, Watkins. There were n ° inju- ries reported. 7:01 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence in Fairhaven Township, Stearns County. One indi- vidual was transported to the Buffalo Hospital. Monday. Sept. 16 2:19 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Eden Valley Rescue Squad for a medical at a residence on Elk Avenue, City of Eden Valley. One indi- vidual was assisted at the scene with a lift assist only. 5:20 a.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a suspi- cious vehicle near the intersection of MN Highway 15 and County State Aid Highway 27, Kingston Township. Upon arrival the deputy determined the vehicle was well off the road and not a hazard. 9:25 a.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a check forgery at Faber Buildings on Central Avenue South, Watkins. 10:02 a.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Watldns Ambulance for a medical at the Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. One individual was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital. 6:03 p.m. the Sheriff's Office dis- patched Watkins Ambulance to a medical at a residence on Church Street, Watkins. There was no trans- port. Watkins Ambulance assisted at the scene. 7:36 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of a criminal damage to prop- erty at a residence on 362nd Street, Forest Prairie Township. 10:21 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of a property damage acci- dent at a residence on 650th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. Dean Urdahl, R-Acton Township, announces Eden Val- ley will receive a financing pack- age of $1.3 million for replacement of both a Highway 22 water main and sewer. There are three components to the package, issued by the Min- nesota Public Facilities Authority: $697,316 in a principal forgiveness grant, a $470,625 loan at 1.463 per- cent interest, ahd a $174,329 loan at 1 percent interest. Both loans carry 20-year terms and the PFA estimates the favor- able financing will save local tax- payers around $150,000 when compared with current market rates. "These are important projects for Eden Valley and it is good to see the terms of this package will save local taxpayers," Urdahl said. "Congratulations to city officials for submitting a successful appli- cation and for showing a commit- ment to improving the drinking water and wastewater systems in town." Opportunity for input on Stearns County's plan for the Minnesota Family Investment Program (NWIP) Stearns County Human Ser- vices is looking to get input from the public on its Minnesota Fam- ily Investment Program (MFIP) Biennial Service Agreement/Plan. Throughout the month of Septem- ber and into early October, Stearns County Human Services will be accepting public comment on the MFIP Plan. Minnesota Statute requires counties to have an approved MFIP Plan to receive consolidated funds. The primary purpose of the plan is to provide the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) with information about ser- vices and strategies to meet state established outcomes with the goal of increasing the economic stability of low income families served with consolidated funds. The plan identifies an assessment of ongoing needs of families and children within program areas, resources available to address these needs, budgeting of allo- cated resources, and community participation and review in the Planning and development.
