www.tricountynews.mn PAGE 21 October 17 2013 Local crime blotters Car rollover with injuries Oct. 12 At 11:37 a.m. Saturday Oct. 12, the Meeker County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a per- sonal injury accident near the address of 71500 CSAH 18. Meeker CountyDep: uties, Dassel Fire and Rescue, Allina Ambulance, and Life-Link Helicopter were dispatched to the scene. Steven Oman, 26 years old, from rural Dassel was driving a 2004 Pon- tiac Grand Prix east on CSAH 18 when he lost control of the vehicle and went into the ditch causing the vehicle to roll over. Steven Oman was ejected from the vehicle. Steven Oman was air lifted to North Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The extent of his injuries are unknown at this time. The accident is under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriffs Office. Motorcycle collision Oct. 13 At 5:46 p.m. Stmday Oct. 13, the Meeker County Sheriffs Office received a 911 call reporting a motorcycle accident in front of the residence of 55354 CSAH 3, Union Grove Township. Meeker County Deputies, Minnesota State Patrol, Gold Cross Ambulance, Grove City Rescue, Grove City Fire, and Life Link Helicopter were dispatched to the scene. WilliamShea, 64 years old, of Atwater was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson with a group of motorcycles west on CSAH 3. The motorcycles traveling in front of VVd- liam Shed slowed down; he was unable to slow in time and struck the motorcy- cle in front of him. The motorcycle that was struck was a 2013 Harley-Davidson driven by Patrick Walsh, 59 years old, of Atwater. The collision caused Wdliam Shed to lose control of the motorcycle. Patrick Walsh was able to keep control of his motorcycle and he and his passenger were not injured~ William Shed was airlifted from the scene to the St. Cloud Hospitalwith life- threatening injuries. The Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the accident scene. The crash is under investigation by the Meeker County Sheriffs Office. Eden Valley Police blotter There were a total of 73 calls in Eden Valley during September 2013 (down from 83 in August). Among them were 29 verbal warnings and 19 miscella- neous calls. There were 6 citations, 4 rescue assist calls, 3 agency assists, 3 alarm calls, 2 dog complaints, 2 arrests, 2 public assists. There also were one each of the following; motorist assist, vandalism, and theft. Watkins Police blotter Them were a total of 47 calls in Watkins during September 2013. According to deputy Josh Case, who patrols Watkins, there was an incident Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 8, that involved a shooting. Case men- tioned it at the Oct. 10 council meet- ing because people had heard the shot and were questioning what had happened. There was a suicide, a self- inflicted gunshot. There never was a danger to the public, Case stated. Wright County Sheriff's Office Oct. 7, Nathan James Good, 21 of Cokato, was arrested in Cokato on a Minn. Department of Corrections warrant for parole violation. Oct. 7, Jason Allen Forpahl, 18 of Buffalo, was charged with felony burglary. Oct. 8, Phillip Lee Harrison, 24 of Annandale, was arrested in Albion Township on Renville County war- rant for theft. Oct. 9, lessica Marie Spike, 31 of Annandale, was arrested in Middle- ville Township on the charge of third- degree DWI. Oct. 9, Jamie Yvette Walter, 43 of i Cold Spring, was arrested in Benton County on a Wright County warrant for domestic assault. Oct. 10, Joshua RayWhitfield, 19 of Rockford, was arrested in Albertville on the charge of providing false infor- mation to police and Wright County warrants for theft and second-degree burglary. Oct. 11, TiffanyAnn Sundberg, 25 of Maple Lake, was arrested in Buf- falo on the charge of false informa- tion to police and a Wright County warrant for theft. Oct. 12, Dakota Roe Bue, 35 of Annandale, was arrested in Clearwa- ter on the charges of domestic assatilt, obstructing legal process with force, criminal damage to property and trespassing. There were 23 property-damage accidents, 7 personal-injury acci- dents, 3 hit-and-run accidents, and 10 car-deer accidents. There were 3 arrests for DWI, 2 underage-consumption arrests, 1 school bus stop-arm violation, and 51 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations reported this week. Rd. 34, Eden Lake Township, Stearns County. 7:51 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to assist the Eden Valley Police Department in attempting to make contact with an individual at the Eden Valley Motel, Meeker Ave- nue East, Eden Valley. No contact was made. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 1:44 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to a report of an order of protection violation at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. Timothy Albin Dobis, age 49, of Wat- kins was arrested for violation of a domestic abuse no contact order. Saturday, October 12 9:53 a.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted the Meeker County Victims Advocate at a residence in the Wat- kins Trailer Park, Watkins. 10:33 a.m. the Sheriff's Office assisted the public at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, Watkins. 11:50 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of a violation of an Order for Protection at a residence in the Wat- kins Trailer Park, City of Watkins. Friday, October 11 8:52 a.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to and dispatched Wat- kinsAmbulance to a medical at a resi- dence on 657th Avenue, Forest Prairie Township. One individual was trans- ported to Paynesville Hospital. 9:32 a.m. the Sheriffs Office received a report of possible child abuse at a residence on School Ave- nue South, Watkins. 12:52 p.m. the Sheriffs Office received a notice that Meeker County was in a severe Thunderstorm Warn- ing; at .1:10 p.m. the warning was cancelled. 12:55 p.m. the Sheriffs Office received a report of a civil issue at a residence on 340th Street, Manannah Township. The deputy spoke to the individual and advised them of their options. 3:12 p.m. the Sheriffs Office responded to a report of a possible Order for Protection Violation at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park. The deputy checked the residence and there was no violation occurring. 8:01 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, City of Watkins. Also assisting with the call was the Eden Valley Police Department. 10:19 p.m. the Sheriffs Office took a report of harassment at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, City of Watkins. 10:21 p.m. the Sheriffs Office dispatched the Eden Valley Rescue Squad, per the request of the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, for a report of a medical at a residence on MN High- way 22, Eden Lake Township. 10:49 p.m. the Sheriff's Office took a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Watkins Trailer Park, City of Watkins. Also assist- ing with the call was the Eden Valley er sus By lean Doran Matua, Editor Kyle Greene, 42, was murdered in his Annandale garage early Sat- urday morning, Sept. 28. Several individuals had broken in with the intent to rob him of drugs and/or cash. One of the individuals shot him with a shotgun as they left. Authorities have identified five adults and at least two juveniles who were involved. Tyler Fisher, 19 of Annandale, has admitted to being the getaway driver; he also took the gun from his mother's house that was used in the mur- der. Samara Juhl, 19 of Otsego, called Greene to set up a meeting; she had purchased drugs from him before. Both Fisher and Juhl were arrested the day after the murder. Gray Soltis, 22 of St. Michael, is believed to be one of the three instigators of the robbery plot. They asked Fisher and Juhl if they knew anyone they could rob, and Fisher and luhl identified Greene as a good candidate. Soltis was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 2, after a high-speed chase. He had a pas- senger, a 16-year-old girl, who also was arrested. Osayame Igho-Osagie, 21 of St. Cloud, is another of the insti- gators. He turned himself in to authorities Wednesday, Oct. 2. It is believed that he is the one who shot Greene. Soltis and Igho- Osagie are scheduled to appear in Wright County court this week. Thomas Saengchanthalath, 19 of Albertville, was arrested, booked, and released. It is actually Preston Saengchanthalath whom author- ities seek as the third "master- mind" behind the robbery and murder. In March, a public notifica- tion meeting was held announc- ing that Michael Shawn Klappen- bach, 40, was about to be released to an address on Pirz Lake Road, a dead-end road along the north end of Pirz Lake in Eden Lake Township, rural Paynesville. The home belongs, we have learned, to his elderly grandparents. The hitch then was that Klappenbach had not yet completed court- ordered therapy. He has now completed the therapy, and his sentence has been served. He was scheduled to move into the home Monday, Oct. 14, this week. Klappenbach was convicted of sexual contact with a 15-year- old girl whom he met online and arranged to meet in-person. He also, it is reported, is a peeping Tom. According to the Minne- sota Department of Corrections, Klappenbach was scheduled to move this week to a home on Pirz Lake Road in Eden Lake Township. DOC photo. Klappenbach is 5'10", 217 lbs., and has brown hair and blue eyes; he was released Oct. 13. Although he can no longer be held in jail, having served his time, Klappenbach has been identified as a Level III offender, most likely to reoffend. Police Department. Thursday. One individual was trans- ported to the St .Cloud Hospital. 10:34 a.m. the Sheriffs Office dis- patched the Watkins Ambulance to the Eden Valley Area Medical Clinic on Meeker Avenue East, Eden Valley. One individual was transported to the St Cloud Hospital. 10:36 a.m. the Sheriffs Office received a report of possible child abuse at a residence on Church Street North, Eden Valley. 1:26 p.m. the Sheriff's Office responded to and dispatched Wat- kins Ambulance to a medical at Mies Outland on West MN Highway 55, Watkins.
