The return of the church bell marks phase two of rebuilding the church after a devastating fire in April 2000. 20 years ago Interactive Television (ITV) has opened the lines of communication between Eden Valley- Watkins (EVW) and Kimball Area High Schools (KAHS), and in more than one language. Now an exchange program allows students at both schools to go to school and live with families in Germany. Students from Germany also have the opportunity to study and live with families in Eden Valley or Kimball. 30 years ago Students at Kimball Area High School will benefit from a new, computerized grading system implemented at the school this quarter. The system is designed to improve the accuracy and speed of grade reporting to parents, as well as to provide additional information about the student's progress. 40 years ago Marvin Sommers was accidentally killed last Tuesday afternoon when his gun discharged. The coroner ruled the death accidental. Evidently some animal had attacked a chicken as a mutilated chicken was found.
