Donnay does EV-W-K proud in brief" Emily, at fa r left above and at right, took lOth place with her 15:14.1 time at the 4k (nearly 2.5 miles) at the State meet. Emily was the sole representative of the EV-W-K cross country team in the State meet. She placed lOth among 174 runners. The Annandale team placed first in State in Class A, and two of their runners, Emily Schlafke and Courtney Alama placed fourth and fifth, respectively. Below right, Emily in full stride during the State meet. Emily was named MVP at the cross-country awards banquet Monday evening, Nov. 4. Friends, family and fans came from far and wide to cheer Emily on at the State meet Saturday, Nov. 2.
