Kendall has filed felony charges against three juvenile girls in connection with the Sept. 19 gunman hoax at Tech High School in St. Cloud. The girls called 9-1-1 and reported a possible shooting at Tech High School. The 9-1-1 caller stated the shooter had a gun and was coming towards them. The school was surrounded and placed on lock down for approximately 90 minutes. All three girls participating in the call were charged with terroristic threats, a felony. 20 years ago Approximately 65 Kimball girls, grades I(-12, attended the Saturday basketball clinic put on by University of Minnesota women's basketball coach Linda Hill-MacDonald and nine of her Golden Gopher players. The purpose of the clinic, held at Kimball Area High School gym, was to support girls' basketball and girls' athletics in Kimball. 30 years ago Trevor Marquardt won the first $50 bond for the first card found and returned from the Jaycee balloon release August 10. The balloons were released on the 1st day of the Kimball Centennial. 40 years ago Bob Hope presented an evening of comedy Wednesday, Dec. 1, at St. Cloud State University. Hope's performance began at 8 p.m. in Halenbeck Hall, highlighting the year's Performing Artists Series. The 72-year-old comedian has performed in vaudeville, stage, radio, motion picture and television media.
