First-graders at Kimball Elementary made their own Pilgrim or Indian costumes, and spent the morning preparing applesauce for their annual "First Thanksgiving" feast Tuesday, Nov. 26. They enjoyed pumpkin muffins with whipped cream, homemade applesauce, popcorn, and apple juice. Staff photos by Jean Doran Matua. Schools to present concerts Monday, Dec. 9, will kick off the holiday season with a choir and band concert at the Kimball Area High School. A vocal Christ- mas pelude will begin at 7 p.m. followed by the Ir. High Band, at 7:30 p.m. A reception will follow the concert. Thursday, Dec. 12, grades K-3 will perform with second- and third-graders doing "The Lit- tlest Reindeer". The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the elementary gym. Monday, Dec. 16, grades 4-6 will present "Santa's Frosty Fol- lies". The program included sing- ing, dancing, and costumes, etc., and will begin at 7 p.m. in the ele- mentary gym, Friday, Dec. 13, stop by Har- vest Bank at 1 p.m. to hear a group of Arlene Sands' senior high choir students singing holiday favorites. All the concerts are free, and will certainly put you in the hol- iday spirit. The instrumental pro- gram is under the direction of Mr. Keith Haake and the vocal program is under the direction of Ms. Arlene Sands. We hope to see you there. Breakfast Monday:. Breakfast sandwich or cereal, whole wheat toast, jelly/mar- garine, juice or fruit, milk. Tuesday: Breakfast pizza or cereal, whole wheat toast, jelly/ margarine, juice or fruit, milk. Wednesday: Scrambled eggs w/ ham or sausage or cereal, whole wheat toast, jelly/margarine, juice or fruit, milk. Thursday: Egg bake, or cereal, whole wheat toast, jelly/ marga- rine,juice or fruit, milk. Friday: French toast & sausage or cereal, whole wheat toast, jelly/ margarine, juice or fruit, milk. Lunch Monday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes & gravy or Italian deli sandwich, cauliflower, tomato Tuesday: Chicken Alfredo with pasta & breadstick or tur- key BLT wrap, green peas, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, fresh fruit, canned fruit, milk. Wednesday: Beefy nachos with cheese sauce or yogurt pack, shredded lettuce, black bean salsa, tomatoes, fresh fruit, canned fruit, milk. Thursday: Chicken divan over pasta or sloppy Joe on WG bun, broccoli salad, white bean salad, celery sticks, fresh fruit, canned fruit, milk. Friday: Turkey gravy, mashed potatoes & gravy or pizza dippers with marinara sauce, broccoli flo- rets, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, fresh fruit, milk.
